Morris County, New Jersey is one of the most affluent areas in the country and the wealthiest one in the state of New Jersey. It was recently named by Forbes magazine as one of the top places to raise children because of the excellent schools and high graduation percentages. This county is slightly over 20 miles from Manhattan and houses over 50 different Fortune 500 businesses making it a great place to work or a good one to commute into the city from. Author: Darren Clark
It is obvious that with every new innovation, there are always companies waiting in the wings to copy that idea and get in on the action. If this is to be avoided, it will be necessary to lodge that idea so that no one can steal the plans or idea before the owner has a chance to make his money back. For a list of available experts, look for patent attorney Texas or patent attorney Illinios on the internet which should bring up several good experts.
What these experts do is to draw up a draught of the plans or idea in such a way that it is obvious that no one else has done the exact same thing before. This is not an easy task as the draught may have to be redone to make sure that all the wording is correct. Even they themselves do not necessarily get their qualifications the first time that they sit for them, and since this training is expensive, they will surely put this in their prices that they charge to the client.
As an example of this, the first draught which is registered, and this only applies if it si very simple, starts at around seven thousand dollars. To maintain it the fees which have already been worked out will come into play about three and a half years after the first registration. But the goodness of doing all this is that it will be protected for about seventeen years which means that the owner will have his idea kept safe and secure over that period. If the idea hits the big time as they often do, they could stand to make a lot of money in the long run so this is a good idea.
Even famous logos are now protected to stop others producing goods and then stamping it with the mark. Of course, the originating company could stand to lose many millions, and get a bad reputation to boot if the goods are sub standard which they so often are.
Once the copyright has been registered, the company can sue anyone who tries to make money from this kind of deal. The public is also protected to some extent because the resulting publicity will surely warn everyone to look out for these fakes and to ensure a real one is bought at all times.
For those people who think that they are wise enough to work this kind of paper out for themselves, they may want to think twice about doing this. Because it is a complicated way of registering, any mistakes that they make may well give the competition an opportunity to make the same goods but with some slight changes. Then they will not have to pay even the license fee to the owner of the idea and they just keep on making money.
So anyone who has found a great idea or product, or developed it over some years, should have the good sense to put it in writing properly. Those who delay, or take a risk, will often end up losing out on something that they sweated blood over.
Immigration Mandates a Notarized Marriage Certificate
Author: Darren Clark
People attempting to immigrate to the United States would have a much easier time if they only had a few forms to fill out and turn in to USCIS. However, the reality is that you must also provide the United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) with documentation in support of your application. You will also have to submit birth certificates, Marriage Certificate translation and divorce decrees or certified copies of them along with your application materials. You will probably also need other documents, like school transcripts, employment records, death certificates, or the birth certificate or U.S. passport of a U.S. citizen relative who is petitioning to sponsor your immigration. In order to get your visa or green card approved, you will also need to present your passport from your own country. Apply for your passport well in advance so that you will have it upon arrival to the USA. Outside of the United States, records should be obtained from official, government sources wherever possible. Only certain sources are approved by the US State Department, and they may be found in the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM) which is available online. American law libraries may also be able to provide you with guidance. If you are located outside the USA, you may prefer to discuss requirements with your nearest United States consulate. They can tell you which type of records are required and how to deal with unexpected situations.
If you need to submit documents but they are not in English, the USCIS will not accept them unless they are a Certified Translation of the original document. And, they must be word-for-word. Regardless of whether you submit your materials to USCIS or your local consulate, you will still need to have certified translations done of your documents. Recently, USCIS is requiring that you obtain your translation, such as a Divorce Certificate Translation from an established translation agency. Ask your translation agency to provide you with a draft of the translation before it is certified, notarized and sent to you. This can be a statement similar to the following: I, so-and-so, certify that the attached document translated from X to Y is a true and faithful rendering of the source document provided. The translator should sign the statement. The agency should also stamp the translation and provide an original signature attesting to the accuracy of the document. Be absolutely certain that the translator has spelled your name correctly. Otherwise USCIS is likely to reject your application. If your documents are in Chinese, Russian, Arabic or any other language that does not use the Latin alphabet, it is your responsibility to ensure that the names are spelled as you require them. Consider it your responsibility and right to review a draft of your notarized translation before you accept it as complete.
